My spouse and I visited Six Arms Pub on a Tuesday afternoon in early
August 2014. We did not have a reservation. However, because it was the
middle of the afternoon (after lunch but before happy hour and dinner),
we were seated quickly. Six Arms is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Six
Arms enjoys a corner location in a wedge-shaped building in the First
Hill / Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Parking is available on the
street, or in a nearby parking lot or garage (such as the garage at the
Convention Center or the garage at the Homewood Suites). We stayed
nearby at the Homewood Suites, so it was a quick 5-minute walk (although
slightly uphill) to Six Arms.
The interior of the bar features a
casual dining atmosphere, with seating on the street level in booths,
tables, and at the bar. The interior features lots of windows and a
second-floor mezzanine. Outdoor seating is available in two fenced-in
enclosures on sidewalk. The restaurants permits leashed pets to
accompany al fresco diners.
Six Arms, owned by the McMenamins
group, operates restaurants in three different Seattle locations:
Capitol Hill, Mill Creek, and Queen Anne. The Capitol Hill location
contains space for the restaurant to brew their own beer. In fact, the
name of the restaurant derives from one of their bottle labels that
features a Hindu idol with six arms.
Six Arms serves Northwest
pub fare that uses seasonal local ingredients. All food is made on the
premises, including pizza, soups, salads, sandwiches, fries, burgers.
We
ordered drinks and dessert (a delicious salted caramel hazelnut tart
served with vanilla ice cream) at Six Arms, and the service was friendly
and efficient. We would not hesitate to return sometime for a more
extensive meal in the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
