Washington DC: Wyndham Bristol Hotel (August 1996)

My spouse and I stayed at the Wyndham Bristol in July 1994. Located on
Pennsylvania Avenue, this large hotel offers some nice amenities and services. The
property features 240 rooms, a bar, restaurant, airport transportation, cable TV
with movies, exercise room, gift shop, in-room coffee makers, major credit cards
accepted, non-smoking units available, refrigerators, restaurant on premises, some
kitchen units, valet laundry, valet parking.

Chadwicks (August 1996)

Chadwicks opened in Georgetown in 1967. The favorite gathering spot of the locals, Chadwicks is committed to great American food and libations, friendly service, and a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Only a few steps away from the waterfront, Chadwicks is the ideal place for watching your favorite game, a family meal, or your next celebration!

DC: J Paul (August 1996)

Located in the heart of Georgetown, J. Paul's sits in an iconic historical building over 100 years old and has been one of DC's most popular watering holes for over 30 years. The J. Paul’s bar in Georgetown boasts a 100-year old  mahogany shotgun bar built by the Brunswick Balke Coolander Company. This iconic bar was previously housed in a grand saloon in the Chicago stockyards and many people will swear over their scotch that Al Capone himself bellied up to that very bar. Iconic antique brass elevator doors from New York’s Waldorf Astoria frame the back dining room and add to the turn-of-the-century charm. Located a few short blocks from the Potomac River, J. Paul’s has become an icon to those from every generation and all walks of life. Every day, politicians, journalists, artists, business people, and Washington personalities share tables with students, tourists, and ex-Pats in the nation’s capital. There are many places to dine in the Washington area. There are only a few, however, that combine excellent food, personal service, and a stimulating atmosphere in an historic setting. J. Paul’s is an icon.
