I dined with three family members at Rendezvous Bar and
Grill for lunch on a Thursday afternoon in late December 2018. Rendezvous is open
daily from 11:30 am until 11:00 pm. Reservations are accepted by telephone.
Rendezvous is located on the marina in Marina Bay, tucked
just off I-95 on State Road 84. The restaurant is a little tricky to reach by
car because it is not visible from the main road. The TRYP and Ramada hotels
(owned by Wyndham) are nearby, as are the Falls at Marina Bay Apartments. Guests
who arrive by boat can dock and dine. Another location of Rendezvous is on
University Drive in Davie (which reportedly has more of a sports bar feel and no
water views).
The restaurant offers indoor dining, but the choicest tables
are located outdoors on the awning-covered deck, with a few umbrella-topped tables
on an adjacent smaller area of the deck. Dual bars are located both indoors and
out.
Rendezvous Bar and Grill serves American food. We were
pleased to discover that happy hour drink prices were available all afternoon.
For food, we tried lighter lunchtime fare like the fish and chips, mahi tacos,
turkey burger, and French dip, but the large menu also offers more elaborate
dinner entrees like fresh seafood, steak, and pasta.
We enjoyed our lunch outdoors on the deck at Rendezvous; it
feels like a hidden gem!
