Easton: Tacos y Tequila (November 2019)

My spouse and I dined at the Easton location of Tacos y Tequila (TyT) for dinner on a Saturday evening in early November 2019. The restaurant and bar is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Tacos y Tequila opened in 2017 in the space formerly occupied by the Lone Star Steakhouse in Palmer Township off the 25th Street exit of Route 22, in the same vicinity as the Olive Garden, Cask Taphouse (formerly Tilted Kilt and Don Pablos), and the Tic Toc Diner. A second location of Tacos y Tequila occupies the former Centro restaurant space in downtown Allentown.

The Easton location offers a bar area as well as a spacious high-ceilinged dining room. The dining room has booths arranged against several walls, with free-standing tables of various sizes and configurations positioned in the middle of the room. (The booths are fairly private since they contain a high divider that separates one booth from the next. Patrons can also dine in the bar area at high-top tables or at the bar itself.

As its name implies, Tacos y Tequila serves Mexican cuisine. While we perused the menu, our served delivered complimentary tortilla chips and salsa (which they gladly refilled later during our meal). As a starter, we shared the guacamole, prepared tableside from a rolling cart. As our main dishes, we ordered the street tacos (one al pastor [marinated pork], one barbacoa [beef], and one carnitas [shredded pork]) and the carne a la Tampiquena (skirt steak, cheese enchilada, rice, and beans). For dessert, we shared the cheesecake flan.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Easton location of Tacos y Tequila Cocina y Cantina.
