Killington: Killington Grand (January 2002)

My spouse and I stayed at the Killington Grand Resort for two nights in late January 2002. The resort is Killington’s only full-service mountainside hotel. It features convenient ski-bridge access to the slopes in the winter, and in the summer, the first tee of the Killington Golf Course is only 200 yards from the front door. Enjoy our heated outdoor pool open year-round, or lounge by the firepit and take in the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. The on-site fitness center contains weight and cardiovascular equipment, sauna, steam room, and a 75-foot outdoor heated pool with two hot tubs. The hotel spa reflects the peace and beauty of the region with a variety of soothing and relaxing spa treatments. Dining options include Ovations Restaurant, Rendezvous Lounge, and the Grand Essentials Coffee and Sundry Shop. The hotel also offers a game room, sports equipment check/valet, and laundry facilities. Room types at the Killington Grand include the following: standard hotel rooms are 335 to 459 square feet and house 2 to 4 guests. Hotel rooms are furnished with one king or two queen beds, and decorated with signature Vermont charm. Studios are 335-459 square feet and sleep 2 to 4 guests. studios are furnished with a queen murphy platform bed for two guests and may also include a queen sofabed for parties of four. Murphy beds pull down from the wall and fold up out of sight when not in use. mattresses rest on platforms. some studios are handicap accessible and others can be connected to hotel rooms upon request. studios offer fully-equipped kitchenettes with refrigerator and freezer, oven and stove, dishwasher and soap, microwave, essential pots, pans, glassware, dinnerware, and utensils suites range from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms and house from four to six guests in 584, 1099, or 1111 square feet, respectively. All suites offer fully-equipped kitchenettes, just like our studios. Some suites are also multi-level configurations. penthouses range from two-bedroom at 1516 square feet to three-bedroom at 1719 square feet (accommodates up to ten people). Penthouses include a full kitchen, gas fireplace in the living room, and in-room sauna.
