My spouse and I visited
Manhattan for the day in mid-July 2019. The trip hadn’t been planned, but that
morning, we found out that we had won a Broadway ticket lottery for the musical
Pretty Woman at the Nederlander Theatre. (We live about 1.5 hours away, and we
didn’t know until 9:00 am that we had won tickets for the 2:00 pm show.) We arrived
with enough time to spare that we could order some drinks and nibbles at Wolfgang’s
Steakhouse, located just down the street from the theatre. After the show, we
ate dinner next door to the Nederlander at Gleason’s Tavern (associated with
the Hotel Shocard). Although it was a quick trip, it was a beautiful day and we
had a great time.
