Atlantic City: Harry's Oyster Bar (August 2019)

My spouse and I visited Harry’s Oyster Bar and Seafood on a Saturday afternoon in August 2019. Harry’s is open daily for lunch, dinner, drinks, and in-between. Larger parties can reserve a spot using the online Open Table reservation system.

Harry’s Oyster Bar opened in June 2011 at Bally’s Casino (in the historic building once called the Dennis Hotel). It offers a large indoor dining space (including a bar), as well as a big outdoor courtyard (with a rectangular bar, regular dining tables, and lounge chairs that offer a view of the live outdoor entertainment on weekends. The inspiration for Harry’s (called Dock's Oyster House) opened in 1897, and is still operational today, along with another AC institution, the Knife & Fork Inn (opened in 2006). The indoor space features lots of wood, a tin ceiling, huge marble raw bar, many TVs, and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the courtyard.

Harry’s offers a seafood-based menu, including raw bar, fresh seafood (lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, tuna, mahi, salmon), soups, salads, sandwiches, and pasta. We had already eaten lunch on the day that we visited, so we just enjoyed some drinks at the bar while listening to the live music.
We enjoyed our al fresco drinks at Harry’s Oyster Bar and Seafood.
