Boca Raton: The Dubliner Irish Pub (December 2016)

My spouse and I dined at the Dubliner Irish Pub with three family members on a Friday evening in late December 2016. (We visited The Dubliner on previous occasions because we have family who live in the area.) The Dubliner is open daily for dinner and drinks until 2:00 am, and also for Sunday brunch. The restaurant accepts reservations on its website (the address of which includes the word sub-culture). The owner of the Dubliner Pub also operates neighboring restaurant Kapow! Noodle Bar. You can park on the street or in one of the parking garages behind the restaurant.

The Dubliner is located in Boca Raton in the Mizner Park shopping area on the Plaza Real street level amidst other restaurants and shops. The restaurant boasts beautiful mahogany bar and décor. It offers seating both indoors (at the bar itself, at communal high-top tables, or at regular-height tables) and outdoors on the sidewalk (at tables beneath a roof overhang or protected by umbrellas) or outdoors in the courtyard shared with Kapow. TVs broadcast sporting events, and live music and other entertainment are offered daily: Mondays feature karaoke, Tuesdays feature trivia night, and Wednesdays offer two-for-one Guinness specials. In 2014, the Sun Sentinel newspaper named the Dubliner as the Best Irish Bar in South Florida.

The Dubliner features Irish cuisine, including fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, Guinness cheese fondue, potato pancakes, and corned beef and cabbage, in addition to continental fare like burgers and sandwiches. The Dubliner offers a full bar that serves beer, wine, and cocktails.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Dubliner, not only for the tasty food but also for the pleasant atmosphere and the people-watching!
