San Francisco: Yankee Pier (August 2012)

My spouse and I ate dinner at Yankee Pier in mid-August 2012. This restaurant is located in the United Terminal at San Francisco Airport. (Other locations include Boston, JFK, and Denver.) When this Union Street landmark opened in SFO, it quickly became an airport favorite by replicating the original’s delicious food, warm atmosphere and friendly service. Food & Wine included Perry’s Restaurant in their 2009 Ultimate Airport Dining Guide and influential food blog, Eater, named it the #1 place to eat at SFO in their December 2011 dining guide. Yankee Pier SFO is known for delicious fresh seafood, California favorites and an attention to service that keeps passengers on time. Eater included Yankee Pier as one of the 2011 Top 5 Places to Eat at SFO while People Magazine and USA Today named it one of their Top Airport Restaurants in 2009. Most recently, Conde Nast Traveler included Yankee Pier among the best airport restaurants in the world in September 2014.
