New York City (October 2019)
My spouse and I spent a birthday
weekend in NYC in early October 2019. We stayed again at the Hilton Times
Square (where we’ve stayed a few times before) because we like the room size as
well as the location, especially when theatre is on our agenda. On Saturday,
after lunch at The Palm Westside followed by drinks at SoHo Park, we had
tickets to see The Book of Mormon at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, during which
we laughed our asses off! What a great (although silly, irreverent, and
sometimes offensive and insulting) show! That evening, we dined at the Korean restaurant
Atoboy, which is the more casual “little sister” restaurant to Atomix (where we
dined in March 2019). What made the dinner even more special was that
coincidentally, my spouse received a gift card to Atoboy from a family member
to cover our dinner. On Sunday, we had lunch at Esca, followed by drinks at Daniela
Trattoria, and a matinee (thank you Broadway lottery!) of the play Betrayal at
the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. It was a great birthday weekend in the city!
