Buenos Aires: Cluny (February 2012)
My spouse and I ate lunch at Cluny in late February 2012. Located in the center of the Palermo Soho shopping
district, this casually chic restaurant serves French-Mediterranean fusion fare
along with handcrafted cocktails and local wines from the Mendoza Province.
Sinatra and jazz standards play in the stylish dining room, which contains dark
wood tables, low white couches, and glass vases filled with lilies. There's
also a marble-topped bar and an adjacent outdoor patio. Dishes include grilled
octopus with potato cream sauce, followed by Parmesan risotto with sautéed
mushrooms and lamb cooked in Malbec. Between lunch and dinner, Cluny serves an
afternoon menu of small plates, pastries, and tea.
