Burlington, Vermont (September 2018)

My spouse and I visited the Burlington, Vermont area on an extended weekend trip in late September 2018 in order to attend a family member's wedding. We flew to Burlington in the early afternoon on a Thursday, and spent that night in Burlington at the Hilton Garden Inn so that we could enjoy dinner at Hen of the Woods (we had a gift card to this well-respected restaurant). The next morning, we enjoyed brunch on the pedestrian street in Burlington before driving to Smuggler's Notch for the wedding. We stayed at the Smuggler's Notch Resort, then drove to nearby Stowe for the wedding at Michael's on the Hill. The following day, we joined friends and family for a trip up Stowe Mountain on its gondola for lunch at the mountain top cafe called Cliff House. In the evening, we joined our group for a watch party of the Penn State game (they lost!). On Sunday, after brunch with friends and family at the Morse Mountain Grill at Smuggs, we drove back to Burlington, where we visited the outdoor Shelburne Museum, then had lunch before catching our flight home.
