My spouse and I dined at Hops
at the Paddock for dinner on a Saturday evening in June 2019. Hops is open
daily for lunch, dinner, drinks, late night, and in between, except for
Mondays, when it opens in the later afternoon.
Hops at the Paddock opened in
April 2011 in South Whitehall Township in the space formerly occupied by the
restaurant The Paddock (hence the attribution of the current restaurant’s
name). The owners of Hops also operate Hops at the Fogelsville Hotel.
Hops at the Paddock offers
indoor dining at the bar, at free-standing tables, or in booths. A private side
dining room is also available. Outdoors, patrons dine on the existing front
porch, or on the beautiful new patio that even includes a gas fireplace and
outdoor TV. Plenty of parking is available on both sides of the building.
Hops serves pub fare,
including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, stromboli, more formal
entrees (pasta, steaks, seafood), and the thin-crust pizza (tomato pie) made
famous by the original Paddock. On the night that we dined, we shared the
homemade pierogies (deliciously sauteed with onions but also available fried)
and the turkey club sandwich. A full liquor license is available.
We enjoyed our time on the
patio at Hops at the Paddock.
