My spouse and I visited PJ Whelihan’s on a Saturday evening
in mid-November 2018. We planned to see a movie at the nearby Regal Oaks
Cinema, and PJ’s shares the same parking lot as the theatre, providing a
convenient place to have a drink beforehand. The restaurant is open daily for
lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks from afternoon until late.
The PJ Whelihan’s (PJW) Restaurant Group owns 14 locations
of PJ Whelihans, 3 locations of the Pour House (North Wales/Montgomeryville,
Exton, and Westmont NJ); the Chop House (Gibbsboro NJ); and Treno Pizza Bar
(Westmont NJ). I dined at the Reading/Wyomissing location of PJ Whelihan’s in
June 2016; see my review titled “Huge Space, Decent Bar Food”. Also in June of
2016, we dined at the North Wales location of the Pour House; see our review
titled “Interesting Bar Food Menu, Large Restaurant Space”.
The interior PJ Whelihan’s space is open and bright, divided
into the main dining room (with booths and tables) and the bar area (with some
high-top tables and a huge four-sided bar). An al fresco covered patio/deck is
available in nice weather. TVs feature prominently at this family-friendly
sports bar.
Although we only ordered drinks at this location of
Whelihan’s, we would return to dine if we were nearby.
