Fairbanks: Pike’s Waterfront Lodge (August 2008)

On the banks of the Chena River, this classic lodge offers sophisticated, traditional rooms and authentic log cabins, some of which overlook the river. There's a colorful waterfront restaurant called Pike's Landing that is open year-round, offering mouth-watering specialties from Alaska's best chefs. It features traditional Alaskan Fare in a casual, relaxed atmosphere overlooking the riverbank, with outdoor seating in warmer weather.
 
Pike’s Waterfront Lodge is located near the Princess Hotel; a quick walk across the parking lot led us there. The menu was a bit heavy-sounding with French influences.
