Tel Aviv: Halevantini Café (August 2018)

We walked from the Hilton Tel Aviv to the Halevantini restaurant, where we ate dinner on their sidewalk terrace. We feasted on a complimentary array of starters, including (non-gratis) falafel, followed by two main dishes (one kabob [served with a skewered onion, tomato, and one extremely painfully spicy hot pepper!] and one turkey shwarma, both with fries), plus some drinks for about $70 USD. This was an extremely popular restaurant with the locals, most of whom sat outside (with us) on the front sidewalk terrace, although there was some limited indoors seating available, in view of the food prep counter.

Caesarea: Port Kafe (August 2018)

We ate lunch at the Port Kafe (Namal Keys), which overlooks some of the ruins in Caesarea. Lunch for three people (three main dish salads, lots of bread, and some drinks) cost about $75 USD. We dined outdoors on a sidewalk terrace at umbrella-topped tables that offered views of the ruins, the sand, and the sea, but indoor seating was also available in a room with lots of windows.

Tel Aviv: Hilton Bay Club (August 2018)

We were staying at the Hilton, so we walked down the steep paved seaside walk for some drinks at the Hilton Bay Club (no relation to the hotel other than the first word in its name). The club offers only outdoor seating, either on their raised deck (covered by a roof) or on the sand (at tables covered with umbrellas). Service is provided in both seating areas; however, we received really abysmal service for some reason, perhaps because we were just having drinks. When we tipped the waitress only 10% upon paying our bill (which wasn’t much for just one round of drinks), she complained to our faces that we hadn’t left her enough!
