Toronto: Pier 4 Storehouse Restaurant (May 1993)
A casual waterfront hideaway located at 245 Queens Quay West in
Toronto's Harbourfront two blocks south of the CN Tower and Sky Dome
(Rogers Centre), Pier 4 Storehouse Restaurant has been a tradition on
Toronto's waterfront since 1978; authentically decorated with a
nautical theme, accented with remnants of the past. Situated in a
heritage building at Pier 4, adjacent to a marina on Toronto Harbour;
Pier 4 Storehouse is surrounded on three sides by water. Large windows
provide an exciting harbour view that changes seasonally. From its very
beginnings, Pier 4 has been associated with the romance and intrigue of
far off places. This restaurant boasts the
largest private collection of nautical memorabilia in Eastern Canada.
Dine inside, in the Pier 4 Dining Room,
or in a semi-private booth, or perhaps in one of our 'Cargo Boxes' for
a more intimate atmosphere. Go for lighter fare in Wallymagoo's
Marinebar, or relax on the Pier 4 Patio, on the water's edge, serving
fish & chips, hamburgers and french fries, and other family
favourites.
Toronto: Marche (May 1993)
My boyfriend and I ate at Marche in late May 1993. Marche Restaurant is back in Canada, making freshly prepared dishes like homemade pastas, Swiss rosti (a potato and butter dish), sandwiches, locally produced meat, veggies and more, all in amarketplace setting. The focus is on homemade and organic ingredients. Desserts from the Natural Bakery, hand-pressed fruit juices and hot beverages are also onthe menu. Customers can watch their order get made right in front of them. Located in Brookfield Place, this is the biggest restaurant in the franchise.
Toronto: Hard Rock Cafe (May 1993)
As one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world, Toronto is filled with local flavor, so after you spend the day seeing the sights, come into our cafe for a delicious meal and ice-cold cocktail. Explore our spacious interior filled with musical memorabilia from the greatest musical legends of all time. You are sure to finish your day on a high note when you visit Hard Rock Cafe Toronto.
Williamsburg: Williamsburg Inn (January 1993)
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Williamsburg Inn for one night in mid-January 1993. We flew from Allentown to Washington, DC and then drove to Williamsburg (my first time flying first class!). The Inn features a selection of unique rooms in an unforgettable setting, just steps from the Revolutionary City. The hotel offers world-class dining, recreation, and spa amenities.
